This was a bow I made for a gentleman out in ND who is a big fan of character osage and painted rawhide who is also the owner of the last painted bow I posted:
This time he asked for an animal totem kind of thing like I have done with a the wild boar image that I placed on one of my own bows. Together we decided on an Eagle and this is how I incorporated it into a design. The wood is osage and has two large knots at near symmetrical distances from the handle (We were joking with some compound tournament shooters that, if it made them feel better, we could sight through one knot hole and add a stabilizer in the other
).
Anyway the bow turned out very nicely and shoots strong, here are the stats:
