King's deer
« on: November 06, 2014, 07:28:10 am »
Del the Cat gifted me a bow at the Classic last year, I told him I would try and take a deer with it,it that be splendid to take one of the King's deer with a true English longbow[his words] It didn't work out as well as I would have liked but did work out,I hit him a little back,so left him over night, he went about 200 yards, Found him early next morning but the youts had taken there share, did recover some back strap and 1 shoulder so not a total waste. :) Thanks Del the bow will do what it is supposed to,just need to tighten up on my part a bit. :) :)

Congrats Del & Pappy, cool to see a bow from the U.K. make it's way to Tenn. and take a deer. Maybe if Del could show this post to the Queen she might see fit to let him do the same and have a go at hunting over there. I bet she has some land full of game. ;D ;D
I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.

Nice job pappy. Coyotes happen....I learned that last year with a muzzleloader deer.

I had a chance to shoot a few arrows thru that bow and fell in love with it instantly.  Nice to see it doing what it was meant to do.

Good work, Del.

congrats Pappy. A little oops can't even evade the best of us every now and then. Glad to see you get the recovery in part at least.
