If the bow I ship breaks, even in the first year, I would want to know about it, and would do my best to send another.  I have option D (A broke, and I am skipping B and C for now, because D is better wood) down to floor tiller.  Laid out and reduced option E some tonight.  One of these is going to work, and I will know a lot more about siberian elm before I am done. F and G look like good wood too.

I guarantee my bows against material failure for a year and work with people as much as I can after that. Accidents happen and sometimes you can stop just a couple test shots short of a break ;)

The only thing I will guarantee is that Josh will get a bow. No matter how many he breaks. :D I may have to make a few but that is the fun in it. I was due for an explosion as it had been awhile. Keeps you from getting the big head.

Tough break jon,happen to me in the 2013 trade,sucks!well got plan A all finished.just have to make a string. Little peek,elm bark wrap and strike plate.

Would a sapling bow be appropriate for the swap?  I remember hearing people say that red oak board bows were not encouraged so I wasn't sure about what is expected.  My plan A osage and plan B osage are being stubborn, and time is ticking.  But I have  a pretty nice elm sapling that might be a little easier to complete by the deadline.  Tell me straight what you guys think thanks.

If you put your all into it I don't think anyone here would have a problem with what they got. Me personally, I would be happy with whatever someone decided to make for me. Anyone that feels different can chime in. But I doubt there are any.

Red oak makes great bows and saplings actually suit the tension/compression values of a lot of species of wood. Especially elm!

I would be tickled to get an elm sapling bow! Not saying that to be nice, really, elm saplings make the best.  Red oak? Hey, if you know what you are doing red oak makes wonderful bows as well. They get a bad wrap because beginners use them and you can imagine what begginers do to them...

In Thailand now.  Got some nice wood to bring home.  Need to get my Tradgang trade done first and then onto this one.
