So far so good. The bottom limb needs a bit taken off. The top limb is ready for tiller. On the long string the handle doesn't have any flex, and the top limb isn't working itself out of the socket.

Huisme- that looks like a nice piece of wood I'm jealous of all you guys and your nice rings us Florida boys dream about that stuff. Whoever gets that thing will be a happy dog

I believe that is some of the fattest rings I have ever seen huisme. A blind man could run those rings.

It is some sweet stuff, I've been saving this one just for the trade ;) More where it came from but I liked the subtle wiggle, figured it'd just be wrong to send a completely clean and straight bow >:D

I did just pull out a stave I thought was 100% clean. No pin knots, no burls, no knots, no wiggle. It all went wrong at about one third of the thin end after I removed a few rings and uncovered about 8o of lateral bend :o It'll still make the cleanest shorty "I've ever made, though, so there's that.

Yep, it's a molle, bendy handle and long (~6") fades, going to give it ebony tips and reflex/deflex from the handle out. Wish I could do something worthwhile but if they complain I'll gladly take it back ::) ;D

Nice work being done. I am moving this weekend to GA. I will get to work on bows soon once I get there. I just need to get the move behind me.

Got her out to 28 today. Any suggestions  on tweaking the tiller? The last few inches dropped faster than i thought.  Ive been making bendy handles lately, and Im noticing that a few scrapes on a wide limb bow makes a much bigger difference  than a few scrapes on a narrow,  deeper bow.  Updated pics:

He's probably protecting that defect in the fade by leaving it a bit stiff there.

I would leave it alone . If it feels good at the shot I would call it a bow. Tiller looks great.

That actually looks like it's grown over for about 15 years.  Is the dark mark on the lower limb? What does it look like now?
