Lovely quiver, very nice.  8) I made one similar from black locust bast. some stone points tend to get caught, though.

It seems fairly durable, I'm sure because I used the stalks rather than the leaves. Though it does tend to snag all points on the way in, and broadheads on the way out.

I like it!  I too never thought of cattail as a raw material. I live on Marsh Road so I'm now surrounded by a source for basket quiver construction. No more excuses for me not to at least attempt one. I'm curious though - what time of year is best for harvesting?
