I been working on the quiver, having finished cutting the long fringe, Got a real good start on a young lady's award bow, and got my victims trade bow started.....like you waiting on a name.

The young ladys bow is going to be 30#@24" with some wiggle room for growth....I want it to have good speed but also a smooth draw and no excessive early weight. I decided on an American Flatbow, crank the ears back....and possibly defexing the limbs at the fades....maybe if needed to ease the draw. The bow right now is just under 60" ttt, the stave is hard maple that was trying to go "birdseye" if it had lived.....pics attached

Got the victims two bows shped, and steamed to form the shapes and correct a slight limb "squirrel. pics attached....there is the possiblity of remaking the victims depending on the necessary specs

Both are lookin great rich...your victim is going to get twofer deal I see!  Coulsnt wait to make another Penobscot now that ya got a handle on em ay?!
Once I get the first stave semi tamed I have another I will start on much narrower stave with a high crown...only 60".  May try a bendy handle Lil hickory.  I need to order another goat hide so I have some rawhide.  Might have to get a little extra creative with the decor on this one

ya aj....they shoot so darned fast it's hard not want and share.......plus it's a little different hope the victim dont mind.....but hey I*'m off the chain anyway

Gutshot: lets just hope I manage to get it right. I'll see if I can locate some skins for it....with the color plan I'll try to find some dark ones.....banded water snake or Moccasin to contrast with the color selection.

I had to run to the city this afternoon to pick up some much needed supplies. Just returned 15 minutes ago. At the moment we have 32 entrants. I'm going to draw names after I sit down for a bite.
We have just a few guys that haven't posted pics yet that are holding us up.

I'll draw all of the names and then send out the list this evening.

If you don't receive your guys name  tonight then it's probably because either you or your guy hasn't posted the pics I requested. Some have contacted me and told me they would be delayed and I have no problem with that. I can wait.

After a long 12 hrs of work today. Now the fun begins. Decided to steam the locus limb to get the twist out.

Man oh man - you guys are getting it done!  Lots of good progress and we don't even have names yet!   Can't wait to get started - planning on this coming weekend.  Need to decide what to make and then start laying it out.
