Didn't get much progress today but did get a little done.( People kept showing up with things for me to work on)
I got one limb on the vine maple bending fairly even but still way too stiff and other limb just starting to move. It has one limb that I can see is going  to give my eyes fits while tillering.

all i could think of today was that Osage stave i got from Half Eye,  i got home from work and started hatcheting away then roughed out a ring to see what I had to play with. My thoughts were wow thanks Rich just what I needed character!  OK rough layout this bow will be hopefully 64" with a forward offset handle I'm going to hopefully drop 6 rings coming down my fades to the limbs this by measurement about 3/8" drop  I'm looking at leaving the 6 rings high on my tips for a natural tip overlays. I'm gonna need alot of luck on my side never done nothing like i just explained.

I didn't get anything done this last couple days. Been all over the place and had to build a gate today.  I go back to work Friday Saturday and Sunday so I won't be back at it till Monday and Tuesday.  I've got a few pics to post so I can get y'alls opinions but I will do that tomorrow.

Man the weather is warming up, so I'll be in the shop. Dug out my last/best stave from the Osage I cut a few miles from my house in ny. Was gonna save her for my personal rig but it's only wood right? And id rather have someone else share in my story. The farmer will get a kick out of it.

i steamed my osage stave pretty fla ;Dt i might add some reflex later after i get it bending a bit more. how long should i wait now that its been steamed?

Rich, that is one fine quiver!! How do you keep up with all you got going man! And you may have had a lttle snow?

Thanks Turtle for showing me what I missed. Loope has them knots in hand better than I have hold of what's gong on here  :-\

Gut: that is lookin cool.

So many working on great things I can't keep up.

I gotta get away from the trading post so I can focus on this more.
