Here's a pick of the first Brisket I found on sale.  I bought one to test.  It was a mighty fine test.  :)  ;D

Great teaser!
... alone in distant woods or fields, in unpretending sproutlands or pastures tracked by rabbits, even in a bleak and, to most, cheerless day .... .  I suppose that this value, in my case, is equivalent to what others get by churchgoing & prayer.  Hank Thoreau, 1857

That looks like a tasty brisket Eric.  :)
I still can't say for sure if I'll be able to come down yet.  :(
I am pretty sure that I'll make the Three Trails shoot though.

What to they build bows out of in Wichita?  ...Wheat straw?  I think THE tree they had there died some years ago, and it was barely bigger than a bush!

Eric they have more Osage than you can shake a stickbow at. It is literally what they use for firewood in that area.

Eric,
I am surprised that you, of all people, would have such a provincial attitude...  ???

I'll be there with bells on Eric! Wouldn't miss it for the world!

John, if those were his culls I may be moving to  Wichita myself!

Yep!  My brother got me that one for a wedding present.  I like it lots better than some pretty china or a monogrammed cheese board!  PM me an e-mail address and I'll send you some pix of the thing.  If you have access to Old Whiskey barrels, it would be pretty danged EASY to replicate.  I love it and use it frequently.  It has literally been a fire and forget tool for smoking meats.  I use up lot's of bow wood and drum wood scraps in the thing!  Mulberry has been my favorite so far.
