Thanks Ed I am kinda getting use to these HHB bows. The straight staves like this one are a lot less challenging, but then sometimes I'm up for a challenge and I love the way the wonky ones look.

Thanks Dbar, I think I might take this one back to the guy I know with the bow shop. Maybe shoot a couple though his chrono. I really don't care to much what stats. are I know they are plenty good enough for what I want to do with her.

That's a fine looking bow. I dont blame you for keeping it, some bows just want to be heavy.

I would not mind going six strands just for economy's sake, but I think the tab gives you an advantage of comfort my glove wouldnt. Maybe I'm wrong...might need to try it.

I think your probably right rps3. If I just try to shooting fingers with out tab string really digs its hard to hold or release. With tab it actually really releases nice with just fast flight no serving. I started out shooting finger glove but switched to tab. I kinda like tab now. When it gets real cold hunting I put tab over my cold weather hand gloves. Haven't shoot a deer like that yet but have practiced and it seems to work pretty good.

Sweet bow bj, nice work all around, d-97= less shock and no slap😆 if you double serve it you can go bare hand shooting if you want. You've been turning out some nicw work

Thanks Brad I just couldn't take it down any. I could possibly give it up to the right person but until I find someone else that fits the bill that person is me.lol.
Thanks Bubby, that means a lot from a hippie tree hugger from California.lol. Just kidding that means a lot from a guy that build as nice of bows as you do. Sure wish I'd have spent some time with you at Marshall

Nice bow! Hickory? I don't think it was me who said they use 6 strands D97.
I'm on the opposite end, I use fast flight, and usually go 14 strands.
I've made very small strings, and I just never felt right about pulling back
a piano string.

Sorry Wizardgoat I was thinking it was you. I remember thinking that it had to be a typo but when I kept reading I could tell it wasn't. My old brain can't always remember who's who anymore didn't mean to put the wrong person down.

Dbar I was thinking the static tips first but then I thought you maybe meant the numbers. I'm not saying the numbers are worthless, but like you I don't get hung up on them. If I did I wouldn't have shoot my first buck with a bow shooting only 129 fps with a 596 grain arrow. If it hadn't been for Pearl I might have let that number talk me out of hunting with that bow. In the end I got a double lung pass through and a short blood trail. It's still all about my placement and good arrow flight in the end.

Bubby your a great guy and it's good to have someone on the west coast to pass out some of your God given ability. We all love trees I wish they could figure that out. It just breaks my heart seeing all these dead ash ones around here.

Now you've laid the level high, we're looking for Peachie's. You know it has to be at least as nice as this one. Good luck!

Mighty fine work, it's a beauty!
