Real nice bow sir. That is one style I have not tried with yew, I really need to. I always make them narrow and deep.

Wow! She's a beauty!  That limb rub spot gives me the heebeegeebees, how can it hold together, it MUST blow u...oh yeah, it's yew. Yew is special. Yew doesn't need to follow the rules!

I love that look! What is the finish on it? I like how the sapwood still looks like it should. When I use truoil, or any oil based finish, it always ads that yellow hue.

Few wipes of Danish Oil and then beeswax polish.

Cheers guys.
I filled a lot of knots, but tried to leave the plugs peeping though the back for some character. I carefully cleaned round the rub spots especially under the edges, it seemed pretty sound but I put some low viscosity CA in there to hopefully stop the sapwood lifting there.
The great thing about the stave was the thin sapwood that allowed me to let the bark pop off for the most part and give me a good clean back.
In the pic I'm, probably pulling 27", the owner only draws 26.5" so I've tested it to a good safety margin. :)
