pat those arrows are cool, I have a bundle of shoots I need to get to work on. Art sent me one he did recently and made me feel like I was in kindergarden arrow making still. I am using his arrow for my model. Steve

Thanks Ahawi. So far, sourwood is my favorite. I've been shooting them for about 3 or 4 years. They are almost impossible to break. I did have one a few years ago that I struck a large rock head on. Dulled the field point but didn't break. I never figured out why but that arrow never shot well again. It looked like a windmill going down range. It looked straight(for my arrows at least ;D) and spun true but wouldn't fly worth a darn after hitting that rock.  ???   Pat

That rock knocked the spirit out of your arrow! I have a couple sourwood arrows that were small buckrubs they were the easiest to straighten and among the best that i have! :D

I like the sourwood, too. It's probably the best all-around wood for shoot shafts.
