She looks like a nice bow, Bassman. Can we see a full draw pic? What do you have covering the sinew? looks like a woven fabric.

sinew and black locust is a winning combination... it was my hunting bow this past year.  Yours looks like a shooter for sure...  :OK

Pat B my wife gave me   the thin cloth backing.May be silk. I,m not sure.I applied it with Tb 3, painted it,and used Shellac ,and poly for finish, because it is sinew backed with hide glue.DC,Brad,Slimbob ,and Bob B. when I get the thumbs up from you guys I know I,m headed in the right direction. The belly of the bow was heat treated.I got 4 bows from that log. The other bows are self bows 62 inches long ,and give or take 45 lbs. at 26 inches. It was laying along side the road. Power Co. cut it down.I had to quarter it right were it laid so I could load it on my truck.Good find.

That's a nice little bow, Bob. Bet she shoots good, too. Like those arrows. Can't go wrong with finding wood on the side of the road to make a bow. They've been doing alot of cutting in my area but all the wood I see is already cut into firewood size pieces.

Yes ,Steve I was lucky to run into that log.Hollow in the middle, but good wood on the outside. It had nice growth rings.Never made one from Yew , but after Osage, Black locust is my favorite bow wood. With heat treat ,and careful tillering it can make a nice bow.
