First pass. To Last Pass. Pg 4

If I don't screw up, this one might turn out ok. First pass each side. Tried to space my flakes out a bit to have some ridges for second pass.

Second pass. It's still in one piece.
It already drew a pretty good amount of blood.

Wow.  Knapping is a skill that has always baffled me.  I've only seen it done once, and it looked like magic to me.  That knife looks like it could skin an elk, no problem.  Nice work!

Thanks WB. It still baffles me at times to. I'm really not that good at it, but I pretend. Sometimes it works and sometimes it I have two small points.

Your right it is magic.

Thanks Rick. Believe me, I was half expecting to be posting a broken blade. Glad it kinda worked. I got a bit side tracked now. Went out to my secret cedar patch in search of my snoopy Christmas Tree. It's a tradition that goes back to about 1984.

I'll try to make finishing this one and posting the progress a priority.
