Recently I had someone ask to see the tools that I use to knap with. Figured I'd post the photo here also.
These stay in the toolbox of my truck along with enough rock to keep me occupied. RickB

abrading stones, natural and man made
deer/moose/elk antler billets
copper and brass hammers (the one with the blue handle is a copper aircraft hammer)
one burned out (to soften the steel) Craftsman 3 lb hand sledge
dogwood billets - larger one not in the photo
modern and primitive pressure flaking tools
notching tools
leather, hard rubber, wood w/leather hand pads
Ishi sticks (appx 18" long) several Delrin & wooden with copper tips
primitive Ishi sticks - one with antler tip and also an elk spike tine
several copper rods
