Thanks guys, ya a little change but they say change is good, not sure about that but we will see. yall know me and know I ant big on change but guess it had to happen and I will just have to live with it.  Here ya go Pat, the range will actually open up on Thursday April 30 about 10am, just didn't put it on the flyer, we started doing that a couple of years ago and really helps stop some of the Friday morning clutter at registration.

Headed to the cabin this morning, going to be a cold weekend but have a few project I want to get done so maybe some time in the shop and kitchen, a good fire will help and found after staying out in the cold for a while you kind of get use to it ,so not so bad. Good but very cold weekend, got a lot done around the club and also a few projects in the shop, lots of friends around the fire also. Got my fork handle project done all but sealer, also a couple of hides started.If I had thought it was going this cold I would have probably waited on the hides.

Got my hides soaked and wrung out 3 times are ready to sew up a couple of holes and pre smoke, then soak and ring a few more time and finish, I got the rolled up and in the freezer for now until the weather breaks. Shawn got inspired with me doing a couple and started one of his own. Good eating around the fire, back strap Friday as we call it.

Seem to get a pretty good crowd when they know we are cooking, kind of like at church when we do a pot luck, people come out of the wood work.  Beau and the boys showed up Saturday morning and we went out to pull all the deer stands, got 14 up, since the timbering things have changed a bit and also stands need some checking out and repairs. The boys really got into it , I loved it !! love to see them growing and learning.

 The boys kicked back after a long day of climbing and running around on the far. Got all the stands pulled except a couple of ladder stands that just need to be checked out and loosened up. The weather is going to be really cold the next few days so I got my fish tank closed in and a heat lamp on it so it don't freeze solid, it OK for it to freeze just not solid and the tank is pretty small so just being safe.  Hope yall had a good one also. Life is Good.

The boys are really growing Pappy. So glad you get to enjoy quality time with them. I’m sure you are making memories that will last them a lifetime.

Was wondering how your gold fish were doing. I was just talking to a buddy of mine who has a setup much like yours and he was worried about it being too cold in his shed. I told him that you get ice on yours. I think his probably stays a little warmer than yours.

Ya sometimes I get several inches deep,as long as it don't freeze SOLID they will be fine, I have had it freeze with only a few inches from the bottom before and they were fine when it thawed.I moved mine inside one year and most died, not sure why but now just try to keep some heat on it when I know it is really going to get cold and stay that way a few days. Yes the boys are growing and I have a lot of fun hanging out with them and trying to teach them about the farm and stuff I know how to do. They get enough teaching on the other things in life that mostly I know nothing about.

In my experience, you have to try REALLY hard to kill pond goldfish.  I wonder if they died inside because there wasn't as much water and the waste products built up.  Short of freezing solid, or freezing over and running out of oxygen under the ice, ammonia and nitrite in the water is about the only thing that will kill them.

Not sure WB, just know they didn't fair well when I moved them inside so now just try and keep it from freezing solid, I even had a few jump out and found them on the floor. That is going to be my challenge the next few days, the weather is supposed to change tomorrow and going to be very cold for us and snow by the weekend, down into the single digits for lows and low 20's for highs .Burrrrrrrrrrrrrr , a good fire and maybe some work in the kitchen will be in order as the week moves forward.

Get out your ice scraper and your thick long johns.  Nasty weather heading your way this weekend.  Stay warm and say.  I hope the ice doesn't build up that much.  We have had a couple of inches of snow each day but it has been manageable.  The storm is supposed to roll in here on Sunday and give us another foot.  No biggie.  At least I'll have something to do them since the Bills are not on TV.

Ya Glenn it is fixing to get nasty at least for us over the next few days, been there done that so we will get through I suppose. got everything pretty well set around here. Sorry about the Bill's ,but you could have a team like the Titans  Beau's wife Christina family is from Buffalo so they weren't very happy either this weekend. Headed down this morning to get a few more things ready for the cold and a little more seasoned fire wood close to the pit and covered, probably spend a lot of time around that this weekend.  We don't get a lot of weather like this around here often so it is kind of like an adventure for me and really don't mind in much, in moderation of course.
