Gonna get that nasty stuff here starting on Saturday and going through Monday then temp is dropping to single digits or below zero. Calling for up to an inch of ice so widespread power outages and probably lots of trees down. Don't get many major ice storms here. Only one since we moved here in 1990. That one was pretty scary. We may be off line for a while after this weekend.

Hunker down and stay warm and safe, Pat.

Temperatures are finally about down to normal for this time of year here in western Wyoming, but still no snow.

WB, the whole Eastern US is under severe winter storm warning with mostly ice. There will be massive power outages everywhere. We are getting prepared.

Glad Matt is checking in on you Bob, sounds like you have been having a time of it. It has finely hit here, was a few hours later than the said but here now in earnest  :) Had a good day yesterday mostly by the fire with friends. Got up this morning to very cold but no snow or ice, when it finely hit I decided to head home to be sure Miss Joanie is safe if the lights go out.Had a big crew around the fire yesterday, that is always fun. Did help Shawn split up a large Osage, got about 3 good staves and 2 set of billets from it. I have 1 log left to split and plan on doing that when the weather breaks. Also got my fish tank taken care of the best I could, guess now what ever happens I will just have to live with it, no ice on it last night but it is going to be low 0 and highs in the teens the rest of this week so we will see.  :)

Had some good back strap for lunch, GregB showed up to hand out,his chemo is going OK , but has good days and bad, this was a good one and he always enjoys my steaks. Everyone left pretty early to get prepared for the coming storm so I went in and cooked some of Rocky's sausage and Dave's/Debbie's eggs for a fine supper.  :)

Then this morning the snow hit, I got the girls all strawed up and about 11:30 it changed to freezing rain so I packed my stuff and headed home, it was not a fun trip the 5 miles I had to go, the roads was slick as snot, guess everything that hit the ground stuck. Hope yall stay safe and warm the next few days. Life is Good. :)

Stay Safe Everybody. Minus7 here this morning. Took this picture of a little Wren all puffed up this morning trying to stay warm. Clear skies today. Calling for about 12 inches on Sunday. I called off shooting with some Friends at Hawkeye Bowmen on Sunday. Guess I'm getting soft in my old age.
