Greg's bow back on the form for some heat treating,sinew for the season ,so far and Case's 2nd deer for the week.That is about it ,man it was great.My have to do it againg next week end.Hope

It was a great week of hunting and comraderie! I really appreciate Pappy's generosity to let me hunt with him! It is much more then just a hunt...the bow making, arrow making, story telling, flint-knapping, and did I forget something?... oh yeah, the cookin' and eatin' all make for many great memories!  ;D

Looks like plenty of good materials to get started on next years arsenal :). Greg, you and Grant aught to cook something up with uncle Sam - start making mre's with venison recipe's for all the hunters abroad, hmm might be on to something there ::) ;D.

Maybe we could get Jimmy sent back home to help Pappy with the hunting portion of it, since they're the one's doing the most harvesting.  ;)

 I'm settled in over here. got my room and started work.
I did some knapping yesterday made a little arrow head.

Pappy glade to see you kept the tomo hawk in 1 piece and man that looks sweet. is that a turkey beard?

Good to hear from you Jesse,hope all is well with you.Yes I was very careful with that pre form
it turned out great.I think someone will like it ;) and yes it is a Turkey beard,horn from a buck I killed,canine from a yot I killed and spurs and beard from one of my Turkey. :)

I think he has a deal worked out with 160th outa fort campbell.. he has them fly there black hawks and little birds around the other farms in the area and push all the deer onto his land... ;D
