Very cool!  I never would have had the guts to tackle one like that, but I'm glad I can come here and see the work of people that do.

Wonderful tiller on that one! Very nice job with a suspect piece of wood. Between you and druid I am going to start looking twice at some "reject" wood.

After seeing the post dbb did on that "challenging piece of wood"  I'm starting to think that with enough determination and patience, there is no such thing as reject wood!

Wow. Now that took guts and you sure stuck the tiller. It never ceases to amaze me the work that I see on here. Inspires me to stretch my comfort zone.   Danny

Beautiful full draw profile on that one! I don't know why I love the snakey ones so much.

Thank you, you all are too kind! :-[  There really was no guts or bravery involved in trying this one.  If it blew, I still had some outstanding wood for the smoker! ;) Aside from, as George mentioned, the extra mileage on my boots trying to find a useable sapling, I really didn't have anything invested in it.  Kind of takes the pressure off when you don't have hours of work or hard earned dollars invested from the get go.  Another point in the case for sapling bows. :D

Cool bow Josh. George did you ever make a mesquite bow?

Wow, this is a blast from the past.  Nope, the borers got in that piece of mesquite I brought home so bad that I never tried it.

I didn't expect to see this one on the front page again. Lol!  Thanks for the kind words fellas.  I still shoot this one pretty regularly.  She ain't no powerhouse, but she's as comfortable as a well worn pair of moccasins!   Just a well mannered bent stick with more than its share of ugly!   Josh
