Hardin sounds fine. I never took the time to check
what has been posted in the last sixty pages. lol
I think doing a point that hasn't been done in a while is fine too.

Yeah, Hardin's are challenging at least for me, the base and notchs either make or break them. I've got some earlier ones and will try and make a nice new one. Haven't done to much knapping lately Hunting and Trapping season fast approaching. Bob

OK Here is my big fat ugly Hardin :o. I made about every mistake you can but I did not break it so it is a win win. So here is 6 inch's (my largest point to date) of Keokuk that did not want to play nice. I did not try to thin it any more because I thought I might break it due to a overshot in the middle.

Took today and went out in the woods, debated between breaking some rock or hunting some squirrels, decided to try and make a hardin. This was my first true attempt at making one, and one of the few times I sat down with a particular rock and knew what I wanted before I even hit it.

I wouldn't pretend that I could beat that one Ghost did, but if this is open to me, I'd like to make one and enter it? Are we judging on artistic/aesthetic value or on replication true to the type?

Chippin, no contest, each month a new point style is picked an we show each other our try at replicating it, just jump in and have some fun. Bob
