I must admit that I'm not much a fan of snake or fish skin backing but those copperhead skins on that osage is beautiful! Nice work sir! I just hope to be able to make something half that nice someday.

Thanks guys. I've got a few more copperheads but they are smaller and more of a grayish and brown and not in as good a shape due to improper killin. It seems we have two types around here ( if there is such a thing). The big ones are always this color and they are close to 3 footers. I found one on the road the other day that would have worked out ok but it had too many buzzard marks on it to be worth anything.
 
  I really like the fact that it not only dolls up the bow limbs but it is natural camo as well. Most of my bows are barebacked and look beautiful in their own right, but there is something about skinning em that just takes it to the next level.

Real nice sage bow there Sidewinder, like the skins and that tiller looks spot on to me. Bet that bow spits a mean arrow.

Thanks again guys. It does spit a mean arra, the thing I like about it is its so quiet and is well balanced in the hand, almost like its not there when your walking along.

BlueGill.... yeah like peas and carrots. I like the darker color of the osage when it has been well exposed to the sun for a while. Takes the neon light syndrom out of it and it matches the copperhead colors perfectly..

JW yeah, I been teachin em how to kill em with out destroying em. That way the snake is not a wasted kill and it can finish its presence on this earth as eye candy and natural camo on my bow backs.
