Uh, wow.  That is one stout looking pike!  Maybe you are taking up jousting?  How far are you in the tillering process?

yah, i need to take a little wood off, i overestimated the amount of wood needed being that its oak maple, but i have done a little long string tillering and surprisingly its bending well

i have been away a school for a the last few weeks so that explains why no progress has happened, but im hoping to have it completed when i come home for  thanksgiving

i did make some, not as much as i would have liked, but i have bent it about 6 inches( including the 2 inches of glued in reflex) its still a little heavy, and feels like its could easily be over 160 right now which wouldn't hold up with these woods im guessing, so i need to remove some more wood to get to the target of 120-130, bit it feels like this might work well from what i have seen far

what way is it, is the oak the backing or the maple? As far as ive experienced, with a good oak board you can get away with oak backing because its good in tension.

red oak is not really a good choice of backing, especially not a 120# bow, Bub
