mission impossible , the sub 20$ warbow

i remember when i was first starting making bows, warbows and regular weights, that i asked if  could make a heavy one from home depot oak and maple, from what i remember i was told that it probably wouldn't hold up to a heavy draw weight... so recently i decided to try for my self, i haven't started tillering yet, but im going to be attempting a 150-160lb maple backed oak, it  is glued up and ruffed out, now to finish getting ready to tiller, i know it wont have the best performance if it survives ,but i gave it a full 7ft for safety ( if it holds up i will decrease the length on others)
ill hopefully have pictures up tonight whether its in 1 piece or 2

I think that if your using red oak for the belly that you would NEED to heat treat the belly  to make sure that it holds up to those compression weights. Just my Honest Opinion.

i would heat treat it if i didn't use tb3 as im afraid to weaken the glue line
i did a little more work, and im starting to like the looks of it

i have a hardwood dealer with nice ipe and other tropical hardwoods, just figured i would play around with this and see what i can do with low quality materials

ok, ill have some pictures in a minute, but i have started to try to bend it and tiller it, and i decided i will wait till daylight to tiller using a safer method than stepping on the string and pulling up on the bow, but as im not sure these materials will hold up im a little nervous of possibly being in the path of shrapnel if it blows
ill have pics up in a little bit of the bow in general with some meaurements
