Oh Kevin, I cant believe I have never thought of that coffee table vise idea. Im gonna have to go buy me another vise and bolt it down in the living room before the wife gets home to stop me >:D. Yeah right I can see that going over real good.

Cleaned up my Inside Stave Cache last night.
Have some real nice Yeller Staves picked out to choose from.
Also have a couple Pecan Staves that are very pretty...
And a couple other species as well...

All ready to start laying out a Bow.   :)

Go for it!  I'm sure she won't mind, I mean after all a good wife is supportive of her hubby's hobby ;)  (don't tell her i said that, y'all live too close :-X)

It was an old coffee table my wife was gonna get rid of.  It weighs about 80# and i needed a work table, so there ya go.  Works fairly well for me anyhow till i can get a proper setup. :)

Marie informed me it will be a few days yet. She wants 100% accuracy, as do all of us.

I have a multitude of staves leaning against the wall with bows screaming, "Let me out!".....

I got a few prospects ready to tiller as soon as I get my name.  Short to tall they are hackberry, Minnesota Osage(red elm), black walnut, and erc with a bit of character.  I also chased rings on a couple Osage staves just for a backup plan.  I'm pretty well set on go.  Josh
