Some obsidian from Jeb. It's going on a hunting arrow. Perfect weight

That point looks deadly, nice work. Check your state laws about having barbs on hunting heads. The obsidian point has what would be considered barbs and not legal everywhere. I also grind my grizzly points a little forward on the back edge to allow it to be pulled out. Those square shoulders will make it really difficult to pull out. Look at the old Bear broadheads and see home the back is angled forward some. A bad hit may cause a deer to carry that broadhead for years.

Very nice point BJ.  You are really making some nice stuff. Hope that point serves you well when put to the test.

Thanks NC I will take the barbs off for hunting, I just like the looks better for posting before I halvted it to a shaft. That should be perfect weight then.
Thanks Kyle, I might set my buddy up with this one. I think he has a pretty good chance of putting it to good use.

JEB:
Good looking  point.

The point is OK to use in Michigan BJ.  By the time you get it hafted and wrapped there won't be much left of the base showing.  I don't think Michigan has the anti barb rule anyway.
