Almost there, liking it more and more. Little heat treatment on that mid left hinge spot (itís a knot) and we've got her. I think itís a shipper.

I do heat carefully with the sinew cured but would not if itís not completely dry.

Id caution you  on heat treating around a knot that is hinging. Not saying dont do it, just saying go slow and dont scorch it at all. How bad is the knot?

Now Iím preparing a wrap around the small knot. Hereís how I prep my sinew. I scrape it and in the photos youíll see starting point after an hour soak, half way done scraping and a finished tendon ready to wrap.   The pile of junk that comes off is there as well. Some of that can still be used. The other scraps I keep until I feel like making glue.

My bow came out light. So I racked on some horn left overs I had to see if I can get the weight up to a decent draw. My garage is hot and it should be cured out in two weeksif I can get a fan to constantly move the air around. So hopefully Iíll be able to get the weight up. Iíve got a finished longbow in the finished range so if this fails or I feel like itís not up to par Iíll send that

I did and I didnít get much out of it. It was already backed so I didnít wanna thin the sinew on it.

Like I said my weight was light so I attached horn to the limbs. If for some reason this doesnít work at all then my last and final resort is to like the limbs about an inch or so. And if the bow fails then I will get my long bow I made Incase of failure and get it ready to ship out

Well looks like itís on to the longbow. Dog decided he wanted to use my bow that was on my desk as a chew toy so now itís messed up beyond repair.

The process in the trade bow has been slow. The finish process for me takes forever. Iíve been putting coating of truoil on for about a month now. Waiting a few days between each coat. Iím always afraid of rubbing out the finish too far and hitting the dye. Iíve done it too many times. It should be ready to go by ship date.....at least I hope. Either way, a bow will be on its way to a new owner.
Pretty stoked about all these bows, they all look so cool. I really like seeing everyoneís style.

That's too bad Mafort, I was looking forward to see how that was gonna turn out with the horn and all.

Can't wait to see it all dressed up H-D!

Oh youíll see it. It just wonít be in a trade. I donít want to pass of anything I wouldnít use myself to put food on the table. I tried to salvage what was good which was most of the inner section. Iím thinking maybe me and the epoxy get close again and splice on some limbs belly side and sinew back it and see where Iím at.
