There got my grandkids tree done now to. Starting to get in the spirit.

First thing I did was mark button for end cap on cholla handle. Then cut it out on band saw. Leaving the line. Then I mixeda little JB weld and applied it to end of cholla handle. Then put bottom on. I want the English Walnut to the outside. I think it's going to have some interesting grain.

After the jb weld cured awhile I shaped button on my floppy wheel sanding wheel. Taking my time to avoid leaving burn marks. Then I hand sanded it a bit. Normally I would even file it to a shape that fit my hand and the shape of the blade but this one already looks and feels good. After I sanded I hit it with some OO steel wool. Then I gave it a coat of tru oil. I'll give it a few more before  halvting blade.
