All back together now some rawhide and a grip leather and she be back at the stake shooting soon.

That should hold, I have done the same with several bows that ended up with a bad limb, I put a Z splice in them. You have a lot more handle area to contour so your method is the best for the bow you fixed.

Similar Eric. This one i added a tenon in a separate gluing in the lower slot. Then, when cured did both together then rawhide glued wrapped handle. The tenon was a very hard piece of Black Locust. It will hold and most likely much stronger than the osage ever was.
Tiller the lower limb to floor. Will put original lower tip back on and string tiller it. I teally liked the way that 69” bow shot. See how it shoots soon.
