Bald eagle
BowEd:
Here's a bald eagle nesting a few miles from my place.
It's the closest my camera would zoom in.
Their nest is by a huge pond.
I was harvesting some more dogwoods a few miles from me along the road.
TimBo:
That's a big nest! We see them a good bit in the winter here, but I haven't seen a nest.
chamookman:
Here in Mid-Michigan, We're covered up with Eagles. Very common compared with a few Years ago ! Bob
BowEd:
Yes it's not that common this far into the interior of the country. It seems that they are definitely not on the endangered list for quite some time now.
Their huge nest I gather gets used and added to years after.
Special time of year in Iowa.New life beginning every where.Calves, colts, and all kinds of wildlife.
BrianS:
A bit more common to see eagles around here (western ny / pa) but still very cool.
