Joe turned out a shooting bow in just a few hours...from splitting the stave until shooting. He only used hand tools...mostly just a drawknife! I was impressed...I think it turned out 52#@26".

Those are some great pics Pappy. I wish I could have been there. I would liked to have heard T.J. speak and listened to Chad and Ethan singing around the fire. Hope the quiver, arm guard,  arrows work out. The arrows weigh between 570 and 590gns they shot good for me, I don't know how they will work for you. Thanks for all the work you and the Twin Oak crew did to make the banquet a success. See you all when I can.

The only bad thing about going to Twin Oaks is the part where you leave. It was a great event for TTAS and, as always, one of my personal favorite places to be.

Greg and Pappy, thanks for all your help on my snakey stave. It actually looks more like a bow now. Cant decide whether to work it down and put it on the form, or just rough out that other nice peice I have and heat them both at the Classic. Guess I should leave the nocks uncut on at least one of them.  ;)
Just remember, you can't put the wood back on.

Dang! The time is flying. So close yet so far away.  Dreaming of the fire in the pit, the good friends and conversation and the sound of wood chips and shavings being made!!!
