Pappy, last time I was in the barn(1st year I was there) you couldn't see the walls for the ricks of osage on one side and hickory on the other. Lots of wood has been turned into bows and shavings since then.  ;)

Ya but that was the upper side I was showing, didn't show the bottom side you seen. >:D ;) We have went through a lot of wood that is for sure, need to go cut somemore if we can locate some more good Osage. Hickory/Elm/Hackberry and several others ant a problem, just don't have any Osage on my place.  :) We are getting down to some really challenging stuff and Billet material on Osage, the prime stuff has been picked over pretty good. :)

That Yew bow has a beautiful form Pappy.  Looking forward to seeing how that one turns out.  Good pictures of work!

Thanks,it is looking good so far for what I started with,it is a piece that Keenan gifted me a few years back when he was at the Classic, not the greatest piece of wood,it had a lot of side checks and came from the side split of a larger piece, had lots of issues but also had natural de flex and has been begging to be a reflex/deflex bow. Also the sap to heart wood ratio was about prefect so I didn't have to violate the back at all. After Will built the form I decided it was time to do something with it. I plan to start tillering this weekend and we will see how it goes. If it holds it should be sweet. :) Can't wait to see you and Bear in March Steve.  ;) :) :)

Cool, not that far away, come visit sometime. :) Got the leather build up glued up on my Yew bow grip yesterday evening  [can't stand them small/flat handles on a bend through handle bow]  and some weight taken off, should be ready to string and finish tillering by the weekend. :) cross your fingers. :-\  ;) :)

Friday and headed out in a little while to the cabin, got plans to tiller my Yew bow and a little hide work but yall all know how my plans go. ??? Also want to start the tillering on my Osage, got it to brace and ready for the tiller tree. The weather is not supposed to be really cold but maybe some snow,if that happens I plan on some roving in the woods in the early morning.  Not sure who will show up but I figure we will have several so hope to have another fun and productive weekend. Hope yall have a good one also.  ;) See ya Monday. ;) :) Life is Good. :)

Now they are calling for 2/3 inches of snow tonight,I may get out after some of them Wiley Rabbits in the morning,I know a lot of you guys have had enough of the snow but we don't get it often here so it's pretty cool when we can go out and hunt in it.  :) :)
