Got my plan A almost finished up.  Took a set in the upper limb but it looks good. Gave it a racket grip wrap, yew tips and arrow rest.  Pulls 45#@29". And shoots pretty good too.  Here's a few pics. I'll post good ones as soon as it's all dolled up!

well I spent some time working on bows and maple syrup today.  I induced a bit of reflex in my plan b black locust and then put a raw hide backing on it.  I also got my plan c white birch bending some more.  It is ready for long string now.  My son and I got 20 gallons of sap boiled down to about 1/2 gallon.  I hope to finish that off tomorrow night.  I am tired now.

Looks like a couple of casualties on here today.  That sucks.  Hammer, if you can pull that bow off it will be really cool.

I wouldn't want to risk shipping a sticky liquid with a bow.  I would hate for the bow to be ruined because of a mistake like that.  I guess I will just have to eat a lot of corn bread and maple syrup.

Timothy that bow looks awesome. Love those yew tips.

Swampman. Yummy maple syrup is my favorite. I make molasses. Never made syrup but would like to give it a try.

A bow and now, my shave horse broke for the second time. It's no longer fixable. Started on a state of the art hillbilly fied bow making table. When its complete I will start making bows again. I will also post some picks of it after completion.

Sidmand chasing rings chasing rings. That sounds like it could be a country song. Glad to see you making shavings.

I think it would be a good song - might have to get my daughters to write something up.  I got PlanB chased down, going to get a belly split off it and reserve it for a bamboo backed kids/lightweight bow.  Got the seasoned stave marked up, but didn't get a chance to finish it up - my next youngest daughters birthday was Saturday, that cut into my time considerably.
