Otter glad to see you back. I like those skins now remind us what kind of wood you using.

And every body else that has received a bow let's see some more pics. I know I must have missed a few. I will start with my bow I received from Mitch Osborne

I checked tracking # and for some reason it is at the post office and I will get a "new expected delivery date when it is available".
I guess they don't deliver on Saturday over in ______.
Here's a shot of just a tip  :)

Dubois: just let me have the tracking number and I'll go down to the post office and pick it up.  >:D

Well, I'm about ready to start tilllering this next bow. Gutshot helped me out a bunch on dimensions for cutting this one out. Thanks man!

Hopefully tomorrow I'll cut some string grooves amd start getting this baby closer to being a finished bow!

(No pictures. It just looks like a half finished bow.)

This is a Osage orange bow ... I went to the Classic this May and made it there in the self bow challenge... Just been really busy this summer and just putting on the finishing touches

Otter, I'm a little leery about giving any tiller advice without seeing more pics. Being you made it at the Classic I'm figuring you had some of the best hands on help available to you. I'd be careful about changing too much if the bow performs to your satisfaction.
I found many years ago that it is much easier and more rewarding working with those that don't know anything than those that know it all.

And as a side note especially to any of you new builders: Just because someone gives you tiller advice doesn't mean you should start removing wood from where you were told. You'd be much better served to take a 24 hr break and wait for differing opinions.

A prime example is a bow one of the new members in the trade was working on. He was told by a couple of different people that the bow wasn't bending enough near the fades. Instead of waiting he immediately attacked the problem and was rewarded with a bow that ended up 3/16" at the fades and 1/4" to 5/16" elsewhere down limb. He'd already removed too much wood to meet the specs needed for his recipient.

Just remember that advice is usually an opinion and only should be followed after careful consideration.

Yes I did have alot of advice from some awesome Bowyer's ..... There are some kinks and little twists in the limbs , I will get some more pictures of full draw from both sides as soon as I'm able... And thanks for the advice Fred.
