My kind of souvenirs. Only thing I bought was the rock and my wife loves them.

Before winter completely gives way to spring it’s time to get the manure storage as close to empty as possible. It could be the last good chance to spread for months.

I helped my son. Together we got all the pens cleaned, bedded and manure storage completely cleaned up. That’s a really good feeling. My son was very thankful for my help and I was very thankful to be able to help.

It’s State FFA Convention so my son is busy helping his wife and kids at the convention.

He left me “In charge of the Fort”.

Honestly with the expense of the cattle now, that’s a pretty big responsibility. I don’t want anything to go wrong. Look them over extra special.

They all seem to be eating good and look very comfortable.

My son has a barn that he is getting a new roof.

I’m a little slower climbing than I used to be, but I can still help out on the ground.

Everything is ready for steel .

Except the weather. It’s a blizzard today. Way too windy to put up steel roof.

Glad you like the palm trees GlisGlis. I’m sure thinking of them today

Now that looks like a big job for sure. Yep been nice here but that's fixing to change, back in the 20's and snow/sleet and ice tomorrow they say, always seem to happen about the time everything blooms around here, the trees think it's spring but it ant quite yet.  :)

Yes it’s been from one extreme to the other here to Pappy. We got up to 68 one day then three days just above freezing windy and raining. My favorite weather. Not!! Just can’t dress comfortable for that. Then six inches of snow , then 48 and mud now back to single digits temperatures and very windy.

Did take advantage of the cold weather to make our pork breakfast sausage. It went really good. We are getting better organized every year. We did 600 lbs of pork butt and shoulders .

Don’t have pictures of making it, but snapped a couple after we filled the smoke house.

The weather was pretty nasty yesterday but the crew still wanted to hang steel. It was very windy and I was surprised that they even wanted to attempt it. I was pretty impressed. These guys knew how to handle steel in the wind. They got the whole east side hung except for the end sheets. Sure glad I was on the ground.
