Gut....It's coming along nice....knots are tricky sometimes...your going about it the right way...sometime you can side tiller areas like that...take a little off the side of the bow limb instead of the belly.  Just go slow as you already know  :D

Not really progress but I got the bow rawhide backed...but I didn't realize I had lost my alignment. ..AGIAN!  So I will have to try and make some corrections and keep the hide on...will see what happens.

Ok y'all I need some help here. Osage 66" t2t  and 1 1/4" at fades. It's at a low brace (3"-4") and pulled 33# at 19".  I want to get the tiller right so any help is greatly appreciated.  thanks Tim.

Your right limb fade is a little more stiff than the left.....I would fix that first Then it looks like you have a a couple of mid-limb stiff spots on both limbs. I marked your picture.
You may wish to get some other opinions but thats the way I see it. Also these areas are not very far "off" so take light scrapes and excercise it between.
rich

PS: be careful of that "hingy" spot on the right limb just outside the stiff fade.

What rich said. I agree, and maybe short string it after you do a little scraping in those spots.

YEP!  "The Long String Lies" is a nearly perpetual refrain around here.  Get off of it as soon as you can safely draw the bow back to as much as an inch over brace height.  That hingey-looking spot is nervous making to be sure, but we'd kind of need to see the unstrung profile to know if there is a good reason for it to look like that at that spot.

Ajooter, just put a damp rag at the end of your rawhide and bend that tip over or adjust both tips. That way you don't have to worry about the rawhide.

Finally got in several hours of good work today and made some progress.  I need some "fresh eye" help please.  I'm at 40# @ 21".  Time to pull more poundage.

Braced at 4 1/2".

Drawn to 21".

That is a pretty bend right there....I dont see anything wrong at all.... the left tip is MAYBE one/two scrapes behind the right, but I personally would not mess with it.
